Lakhs of biscuits and water bottles to Sabarimala

The Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) department is making efforts to send 10 lakh biscuit packets and 10 lakh water bottles to Sabarimala, responding to the sudden surge of devotees at the hill shrine this season. Tamil nadu HR&CE Minister PK Sekarbabu announced that, in alignment with Chief Minister MK Stalin’s directives, the department is collaborating with the state transport department to increase the number of buses to Sabarimala from various parts of Tamil Nadu to accommodate Ayyappa devotees. The state government is addressing concerns of overcrowding and inconvenience at the shrine by enhancing transportation services.

Minister Sekarbabu, while distributing relief materials to cyclone-affected areas in north Chennai, highlighted the efforts to send relief supplies to Sabarimala and the steps taken to improve bus services, including increased frequency from Pampa. To further assist devotees, an executive officer and a superintendent from the HR&CE department in Kanyakumari district are actively supporting operations at Sabarimala. The minister concluded by reiterating the state’s commitment to facilitating transportation and relief efforts for the benefit of Sabarimala devotees.
